This once beautiful castle was destroyed by cannon fire from the Austrians during the rebellions of the early 1700s. Efforts are underway to restore it. Goverment funding dried up during COVID. Only four workers are currently at the site. Funding comes from donations and castle admission fees (3 Euros).
